This is your chance! You can now become part of a movie making team with discriminating taste, artistic sensibility, and thirst for something different on screens around the world by supporting your filmmaking friends at Rusted Fork Media, George and Peter Nachtrieb.
As you can tell from our site, this project is a very exciting one for us. We have assmebled an incredible cast and crew, and will be shooting our film in July in Marin and Sonoma Counties. We will edit and complete post-production by sometime around the turn of the millenium, with the hopes to start showing the film at festivals in 2000.
Our film, while ultra low budget, will still require a heap of dough to pay for equipment, materials, rentals, props, costumes, crew, cast, meals, editing, distribution, and so much more. And no, our budget does not include the luxurious penthouse suite at the Radisson for Omar Sharif!
With every gift that trickles in, no matter how small, we will be able to acquire vital elements for our project.
A Gift of $25 allows us to
A Gift of $50 allows us to
- purchase digital video stock
- buy an environmental protection suit costume or
- purchase set dressing for Kathy's Sheriff Office
A Gift of $100 allows us to
- feed hungry crew members
- rent sound recording equipment
- purchase most of the buckets we need for the climactic sterilization scene
- compensate our Union talent
- purchase lumber for set construction of the Center for Psychological Research or
- pays for purchase of one spaceship
As a way of saying thank you for your gift, we will put you on the Production Team Electronic Newsletter (PTEN), a fine and enlightening document that will keep you up to date with the breaking events in our production and provide a window into the wild world of independent filmmaking.
In addition, for those who give a gift of $100 or more, you and a guest will be invited to special, advance, "pre-opening" screenings of the movie where you will be able to share your thoughts and ideas directly with the filmmakers.
